Arlington, VA - Charles Martin Bredehoft

            Charles Martin Bredehoft, age 87, of McLean, VA, passed away on Tuesday March 5, 2019 at Arleigh Burke Pavilion at Vinson Hall Retirement Community in McLean.

            Charles was born on December 29, 1931 in Jamaica, NY to Charles and Mary Ponk Bredehoft. He graduated from Columbia University School of Engineering in 1953, served in the United States Navy from June 1953 to August 1957, graduated from Columbia Law School in 1960, and married Mary Jane Ash on November 25, 1961 in Olean, NY. Charles was employed as a corporate attorney at Xerox for 27 years.

            Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Bredehoft, his daughter, Caroline Bredehoft, and brother, Walter Bredehoft.

            Charles is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Bredehoft, and children, Diane Bredehoft of Norwalk, CT, Audrey Bredehoft of San Leandro, CA, and Barbara Bredehoft of Arlington, VA.

             Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019, beginning with a prayer service at the Funeral Home at 9:30 am, followed by a Divine Liturgy at St. Joseph's Maronite Rite Catholic Church, 1102 Walnut Street, Olean at 10:00 am.  Burial will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Allegany.
