Limestone - William L. "Bill" Duve     "Avid Outdoorsman"

 

            William L. "Bill" Duve, of 560 Main St., passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at the Olean General Hospital, following an illness.

 

            Bill was born on Oct. 5, 1940 in Adrian, Michigan and was a son of Fred J. and Helen Gertrude Griffith Duve.  He was formerly married to Paulette Snyder Swalwell.

 

            Bill served in the US Army from 1958 to 1960.  He was a handyman & carpenter and was a master of all trades.  Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycling.  He loved music and playing the steel guitar and even played in several bands throughout his life.

 

            Bill is survived by; 3 children, William Lorraine Duve, Jr., Paul John Duve, and Vanessa Marie Duve; several grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Cherry C. Duve of Michigan; 1 brother, Richard Duve of Clarence Center; and many nieces and nephews.

 

            Bill was predeceased by his parents, a sister Helen Rovera, and a brother, John Duve on Aug. 30, 2017.
