Olean - Joseph Roy Lemmer, Jr.     "Loving Father, Grandfather, & Brother"

            Joseph Roy Lemmer, Jr., of 818 1/2 Buffalo Street, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018, at his home, following an illness.

            Joe was born on May 28, 1947 in Olean and was a son of Joseph Roy and Virginia Estella Gray Lemmer.  He was formerly married to Lori L. Macker.

            Joe worked as a custodian at St. Bonaventure for a number of years before going to work at the Rehabilitation Center.  He began working as a handyman/landscaper for a number of years before he became disabled.  Joe enjoyed helping others, playing cards, and going to the OTB, but he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren as they grew up.

            Joe is survived by; 3 children, Christopher M. (Jen) Lemmer, Andrea E. (Thomas) Stanczykowski, and Joseph R. (April) Lemmer all of Olean; 5 grandchildren, Chelsea, Jade, Joey, Kayden, and Elijah; a brother, Duncan Lemmer of Olean; several nieces and nephews; and his ex-wife and friend, Lori L. (Donald) Licht of Olean.

            Joe was predeceased by; 5 siblings, Dorothy Jean Lemmer on October 22, 2008, Donald L. Lemmer on May 23, 1980, Douglas E. Lemmer on July 4, 2003, David E. Lemmer on February 10, 1971, and Francis Lemmer in 1946.

            A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean, on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  Online condolences may be made at www.LetroMcIntoshSpinkFuneralHome.com
