Obituary of Rubye Jeanette Moore

Hinsdale - Rubye Jeanette "Jeanie" Moore     "Loving Mother & Grandmother"

 

            Rubye Jeanette "Jeanie" Moore, went home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2018, at her home.

 

            Jeanie was born on July 5, 1950 in Jacksonville, FL to Kenneth Eugene and Hannah Lou Petty Stephenson.  She was a member of Hart Haven Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL.  Jeanie moved from Jacksonville, FL to Olean, NY in October 2016.

 

            Jeanie graduate from Paxon High School and spent the majority of her career working as a gifted secretary at the UFCW Local 433 Union Office, before retiring.  She was a very talented musician in the Cross Creek Band, and enjoyed fishing and being with her pets.  Most of all she loved her family with all of her being.

 

            Jeanie's sweet and loving demeanor, combined with her spontaneity, and extraordinary sense of humor made her a person who others naturally gravitated towards.  Everyone who met her instantly loved her.  She was a woman of incredible strength, and always maintained her faith in Jesus Christ regardless of the many hardships she endured.  She was a bright light to all who knew her and though she is rejoicing in heaven, she is missed beyond words.

 

            Jeanie is survived by; her daughter, Tonya (Bill) Moran of Olean; 4 grandchildren, Colin, Haidon, Danielle, and Erin; 3 great grandchildren, Riley, Conner, and Ryan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

            Jeanie was predeceased by her son, Stacy J. Evans on May 24, 1994; two siblings, Kenneth L. Stephenson and Edna L. Matlock; and by both of her parents.

 

            A Memorial Service will be held at the Hart Haven Baptist Church, 47 Jim Wright Road, Jacksonville, FL, on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00 am.
