Olean - Clarence C. Hahn
Clarence C. Hahn, of 115 South 19th Street, passed away peacefully at home with his family beside him on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018.
Clarence was born on Dec. 15, 1924 in Buffalo. On July 1, 1950 he married the love of his life Betty Jean Mosman, who survives, and they celebrated 68 years together.
Clarence proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1942 to 1946. He worked for 32 years for the New York Telephone Company in Buffalo, retiring in 1989. Shortly after his retirement, he and his wife relocated to Olean, which he proudly called home for 28 years.
Clarence took great pride in his gardens and proudly displayed his work throughout his yard. He was a lifelong New York Yankees fan. Clarence's greatest joy was his time with his family.
Along with his loving wife, Betty Jean, Clarence is survived by; his daughter Judy Dening of Mead, CO; a son, Russ (Anne) Hahn of Allegany; his grandchildren, Colin (Arielle) Dening of Colorado, Travis (Sarah) Dening of Mead, CO, Adam Hahn of Albany, Sara (Dan Durller) of Brooklyn, and Aaron Hahn of Albany; and 4 great grandchildren.
As per Clarence's request, there will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Rehabilitation Center Foundation, 1439 Buffalo Street, Olean, New York 14760.
