Obituary of Toby B. Nunley

 

Olean  – Toby B. Nunley "Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather"

 

      Toby B. Nunley, 59, of West Windfall Road, passed away Thursday, Sept 13, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving wife and family.

 

      Toby was born Nov. 20, 1958 in Olean. On March 16, 1979, he married Sandra “Sandi” Funden, who survives.

 

      Toby was a member of the 82^nd Airborne and a jungle expert in Panama.  After the service, he worked as an auto mechanic for many years for both John Derx"s Auto and Bouch's Auto.  He was later employed by Dresser-Rand until his retirement. Toby enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, hunting, camping and riding his Harley.  He was an honest, hard-working man who loved and took care of his family.

 

      Along with his loving wife, Toby is survived by; a son Michael (Lori) Funden and a daughter Diane Bowers; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  A special thank you is extended to Serene and Chris from the family.

 

      A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Home Care and Hospice or VNA of WNY.
