Olean - Edward R. "Joe" Maine, Sr.     "Loving father, Grandfather, & Brother"

            Edward R. "Joe" Maine, Sr., of 519 East Highland Avenue, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at his home, surrounded by family and friends.

            Known as Joe, he spent his whole life in Olean.  He served in the US Army from 1970-1972.  Joe worked at Dresser Rand for 44 years until his retirement in 2014.  In 1974, he married Donna Pascucci, who predeceased him in 1989.  He spent his spare time hunting and fishing.

            Joe is survived by; a daughter, Misty (Kyle) Maine-Jackson; a son Edward (Stacey) Maine, Jr.; 5 apples of his eye, Kyla and Kyle Jackson, Ariel, Tiana, and Isabella Maine; and 5 siblings, Virginia (Duane) Hyde, Pat (Paul) McGavisk, Floyd Maine, Jr., Ronald (Onalee) Maine, and Robert (Diane) Franz, Sr.

            Along with his loving wife, Joe was predeceased by a brother Russell Maine, Sr., and 2 sisters, Shirley (Harry) Solarek and Rose (Kenny) Kirk.

            Friends will be received on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean, where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 9:30 am.  The Rev. Chuck Maine, Pastor of the Epic Church, will officiate.  A Graveside Service with full military honors accorded by the Allegany American Legion, Charles Harbel Post #892, will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 2:30 pm in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Allegany. 

            Well Joe, now you're hunting and fishing everyday.  In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Epic Church, 411 West Henley Street, Olean, New York 14760.
