Obituary of Amanda H. Oncken

St. Louis, MO - Amanda H. Oncken     "Loving Wife, Mother, & Daughter"

            Amanda H. Oncken, of 3329 Pennsylvania Ave., passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018, at the home of her parents, Rev. Bruce and Marlene Levine, 3438 Maple Avenue, Allegany.

            Amanda was born on July 2, 1974 in Pittsburgh, PA and was the daughter of Rev. Samuel Bruce and Marlene K. Hauser Levine.  On Dec. 5, 2003 in Hillsboro, Missouri, she married her loving husband, Christian J.D. Oncken, who survives.

            Amanda was a 1992 graduate of Parkway South High school in St. Louis County.  She graduated with honors from St. Louis University in Missouri in 2001, earning her Bachelor of Science in Sociology.  Amanda was a member of the Webster Groves Presbyterian Church in Webster, MO.  She enjoyed scrapbooking, but she truly enjoyed being a mother and always put her husband and family first.

            Along with her loving husband, Amanda is survived by; her parents, Rev. Bruce and Marlene Levine of Allegany; 3 children, Amelia L.C. Oncken, Miles C.S. Oncken, and Ada G.L. Oncken; a granddaughter,  Alani J.M. Oncken; and a brother, Si (Courtney) Levine of St. Louis, MO.

            Friends will be received on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. in the Olean First Presbyterian Church, where a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at  11:00 am. The Rev. Gregory J. Dobson, Pastor of the Basilica of St. Mary's and the Rev. Anthony J. Salim, Pastor of St. Joseph Church will officiate.

            In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Olean, P.O. Box 1608, Olean, New York 14760.
