Machias - Florence T. Joseph "Loving Mother & Grandmother"
Florence T. Joseph, 95, formerly of 135 North 17th Street and Brookside Apartments, Olean, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018, at the Pines Health & Rehab of Machias, surrounded by her loving family.
Florence was born on June 15, 1923 in Olean and was a daughter of Emil and Mary Fender Wollenburger. On July 26, 1947 at St. Joseph's Maronite Rite Catholic Church, she married her loving husband of 59 years, Mielad J. Joseph, who predeceased her on, Jan. 2, 2007.
Florence was a 1939 graduate of St. Mary's School and a 1941 graduate of Olean High School. She was a 70 plus year member of the St. Joseph's Church. Florence was formerly a member of HomeCare & Hospice and the Olean Senior League. She enjoyed socializing and especially enjoyed visiting people that were in nursing homes and she was also a member of the Silver Tones.
Florence is survived by; 2 sons, Emil F. (Joanne) Joseph of Allegany and Lawrence M. (Deborah) Joseph of Olean; 4 grandchildren, Christopher (Lauren) Joseph, Matthew (Mollie) Joseph, Lori (William) Triplett, and Maren (David) Bush; 2 step-granddaughters, Lori (Joe) LaBella and Beth (Pete) Lisi; and 7 great grandchildren, Jackson, Benjamin, Mya, Libby, Zoey, Will, Ruby, and Jax.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean today, June 27, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. An Incense Service will be held at the Funeral Home today, June 27, 2018 at 6:30 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 starting with a prayer service at the Funeral Home at 9:30 am, followed by a Divine Liturgy at St. Joseph's Maronite Rite Catholic Church at 10:00 am. The Rev. Anthony J. Salim, Pastor, will celebrate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Allegany.
