Little Valley – Harry J. Blauvelt
Harry J. Blauvelt, of 9759 Dutch Hill Road, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, at the Cuba Memorial Hospital, following an illness.
Harry was born on April 17, 1947 in Shinglehouse, Pennsylvania and was a son of Francis and Anita Grimm Blauvelt. On April 12, 1969 he married Bonnie Jean Peterson, who predeceased him on May 16, 2003.
Harry drove bus for Covered Wagon Bus Tours out of Hornell for many years. He also drove truck on and off for many years and did construction of Frank Rubik. Harry was a member of the Christopher Columbus Club. He enjoyed riding motorcycle, camping, and fishing.
Harry is survived by; 3 children, Carl A. Blauvelt of Olean, Tracey L. (Dale Sherlock) Blauvelt of Little Valley, and Joseph W. (Tamara) Blauvelt of Cuba; 4 grandchildren, Jeffery, Anna, Kelsey, and Lily; 4 siblings, Tina (Tommy) Payne of West Clarksvile, Alice Silsby and Arthur "Buzz" (Laura) Blauvelt both of Alabama, and Tom (Mariann) Blauvelt of Tuscon, AZ.
Harry was predeceased by a brother, Robert "Bob" Blauvelt on April 8, 2018.
A Memorial Life's Celebration gathering for Harry and His brother, Bob, will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 1:30 PM at the Valley Christian Assembly, 132 Prospect Street, Salamanca.
