Cuba – Beverly J. Abbott "Loving Mother and Grandmother"
Beverly J. Abbott of 4734 Route 305, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at St. Luke's Health Services in Oswego, surrounded by her loving family.
Beverly was born on Jan. 21, 1931 in Wellsville and was a daughter of Alfred and Alice Edwards Knowles. On Dec. 5, 1950, she married her husband of 41 years, Richard D. Abbott, who predeceased her on March 1, 1992.
Beverly worked at Cuba Central School for many years. She was an active member of the Cuba First Baptist Church. Beverly loved to sew, embroider, and do crafts, but she especially loved to bake for her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Beverly is survived by; 3 children, Darwin "Ace" (Nancy) Abbott of Manhattan, KS, Vicky (Robert) Ross of Big Flats, and Tammi (Ron) Grace of Baldwinsville; 6 grandchildren, Aaron (Nicki) Abbott, Nathan (Melissa) Abbott, William (Christina) Ross, TSgt. Stephen Ross, Jennifer Cigler, and Michelle (Steven) Petrie; 3 great grandchildren, George, Miya, and Colten; and 3 siblings, Noreen (Robert) Williams of Copperas Cove, TX, Helen Hubbard of Dallas, TX, and Russell Knowles of Wellsville.
Along with her loving husband, Beverly was predeceased by 4 siblings.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, 24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba on Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Lynn A. Sullivan, Pastor of the Cuba First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Cuba Cemetery.
