Allegany –  Edward E. Farr, Sr. "Loving Father, Grandfather  & Brother"

 

            Edward E. Farr, Sr. of 1390 Chipmonk Road, passed away Sunday March 25, 2018 in the Buffalo General Hospital following an short illness surrounded by his loving family.

 

            Ed was born Nov. 3, 1937 in Port Allegany, PA and was a son of George and Alta Clark Farr.  On March 1, 1958, at the First Baptist Church in Olean, he married his wife of 38 years, Genevieve (Genny) M. Bish, who predeceased him on Dec. 6, 1996.

 

            Ed worked at Clark Brothers for a number of years before he and his wife moved to Florida in April of 1981. While in FL, Ed work as a maintenance supervisor for a realty management company called Stone Throw for about 15 years.  He moved back to Allegany after his wife passed away in 1996. He enjoyed hunting & fishing, working in his yard, and riding his four wheeler, but most of all he was a family man who loved his wife and family very much. He enjoyed spending time with them and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ed was a life member of the NRA and was known to always give blood whenever he could.   

 

            Ed is survived by; 2 sons, Edward E. (Kim)  Farr, Jr. of Allegany and Phillip G. (Jennie) Farr of Olean; 2 daughters, Tammy M. (Mick) Dubuis of Baton Rouge, LA and Jenny J. "JJ" (Corey) Aligada of Clearwater, FL; many grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren, and Penny (Eric) Bellamy, whom he raised as a daughter, 7 siblings, Evelyn (Bill) Paddock of Mayville, Sonny (Cathy) Farr of SC, Jerry Farr of WV, Eugene Farr of Allegany, Victor "Tom" (Ada) Farr of Limestone, Josephine (Leroy) Knowlton of Olean and Marion (Woody) Braley of Friendship, many nieces, nephews & great nieces and great nephews.

 

            Along with his loving wife & parents, Ed was pre-deceased by; an infant Son, Bruce D. Farr in 1962; and 6 siblings Lawrence Farr, Arnold Farr, Herman Farr, Dorothy Holly, George Farr & Marie Morris.

 

            Friends will be received Wed. Mar. 28, 2018  from 4:00PM to 7:00 PM at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean where funeral services will be held Thur. Mar. 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Mr. Lee A. Weinert, Minster, of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Hinsdale will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery, Olean, NY.
