Dora L. Eisenhart went home to our Lord, Jesus Christ, on Friday, April 25, 2014. She passed away peacefully at home comforted and surrounded by her children after a brief illness.
A lifelong resident of Olean, Dora was born on May 4, 1945 to parents John and Helen (Hernquist) Everitt. On May 23, 1966, she married the love of her life, David "Butters" Eisenhart, who left her side to join our Savior on February 22, 2011. The life they made together, the love they created, has never seen its rival.
A time and a half wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend; Dora devoted herself to her family and friends. She was a member of the St. Stephens Club, where she served as bartender for many years. Along with her beloved husband Dave, she was co-founder of Summer Jam - a musical concert held yearly at Gargoyle Park, benefitting Starflight Medevac of Jamestown WCA and various local organizations from 1989-1999. In 1995 The Valley of Olean Scottish Rite Bodies bestowed the honor of "Family of the Year" to her, Dave, and their children. Her kindness and generosity will never be matched and the world, in general, will be a much colder place without her in it.
She was preceded in death by her son William Kenneth (twin to Donald), her parents and brothers; John, Richard, Robert, William, and Edward Everittand sisters June Johnson and Barbara Wyviorka. She is survived by her children; Cheryl (Al) L. Whitcher of Olean, David G. Eisenhart Jr. of Olean, Gail Vida (Fuzzy) Smith of Olean, Donald K.
