Please share a memory of Sarah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sarah Elizabeth Collar, 68, of 8955 North Brach Road, was received through the gates of Heaven on October 16, 2014, following a long illness.
Sarah was born on April 12, 1946 in Bellaire, Ohio. She was greeted at the Golden Gates by her mother (Ruth Darnley) and father (Hiram Darnley) along with her brothers James, Richie, Pat and sister Linda Darnley. Through the past five years, Sarah has shown her strength and courage during a hard fought battle with breast cancer.
Sarah was a devoted and loving wife to John Collar; a caring mother to Elizabeth A. Brown (Alexander Brown), John R. Collar (Lorri Collar), and Sarah L. Collar (Brian Blose). Sarah and John raised two nieces, Debra Wise and Sheila Davis, as their own children. Sarah was always a caring and thoughtful sister to her brothers, Ronnie Darnley (Debbie Darnley), Billy Darnley, and David Darnley (Diane Darnley). Sarah is remembered as a loving grandmother to Mara (Steffon) Roberts, Richard Brown, Brittny Collar, Brianna Wise, Bianca Blose, Sebastian (Tyler) Wise, Christopher Blose, Shayna Collar, Devon Davis, Timothy Connor and Kayla Connor; and a great-grandmother to Jaelynn Roberts and Jaida Roberts.
Sarah is loved, remembered, and celebrated by several other nieces and nephews along with many other family members and many of those whom loved her in the community. Sarah is celebrated as an unconditional loving woman with a strong and devoted Christian faith. Sarah was always first to lend a helping hand, open up her heart and share her home with anyone in need, and that is how she will be remembered for eternity by those whom she loved and those whom loved her.
