Alice B. Werts of 2245 West State Street, passed away Wednesday Nov. 18, 2015 at the Olean General Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Alice was born Aug. 22, 1929 in Emporium, Pennsylvania and was a daughter of Elden and Myrtle Housler. On July 18, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, she married her husband of 36 years, Kenneth L. Werts, Sr., who predeceased her on June 10, 1988. Alice enjoyed camping, fishing, flea markets, canning, country music, movies, and her cats.
Alice is survived by four children, George D. (Sally) Werts of Olean, Jean M. Collins of Olean, Shirley A. Everly of Cuba, and Nancy D. Peace of Olean; thirteen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Along with her loving husband, Alice was predeceased by a son, Kenneth L. Werts, Jr. on Oct. 18, 2015.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State St., Olean today, Nov. 20, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at which time Funeral Services will be held. The Rev. Al Batt, Associate Pastor of the Southside Chapel, will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Shinglehouse, Pa. Online condolences may made by clicking on the button above.
