William T. Welsh, Jr. of 2976 Back Hinsdale Road, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, shortly after arrival at the Olean General Hospital. William was born Sept. 23, 1950 in Youngstown, OH and was a son of William T. and Mary Sanders Welsh, Sr. He was formerly married to Peggy Vannan. Then he married Margaret Detoro, who predeceased him. William graduated from Youngstown East High School in 1968. He served in the Navy starting in 1971 and then served as a reservist until his retirement from military service. William became a Registered Nurse and worked for St. Frances Hospital in New Castle, PA. He then went to work for Public Steel as a Nurse in Younstown, OH. William also worked for West View Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Boardman, OH. He enjoyed being a Boy Scout Leader, playing cards, and socializing. William is survived by four children, William T. (Autumn Fisher) Welsh, III of Coitsville, OH, Heather M. Hagens of Pulaski, PA, Suzanne L. (Jason) Perkey of Hinsdale, NY, and Jennifer L. (Jason) Delfosse of Boardman, OH; nine grandchildren; one brother, John (Peggy) Welsh of Coitsville, OH; two sisters, Patty Welsh of Campbell, OH; and Mary Ann Sturdevant of Oklahoma. Along with his second wife, William was predeceased by one brother, Dave Welsh. Burial will be in Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown, OH at the family's convenience.
