Carol A. Weatherell, formerly of Salamanca and Olean, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at the Olean General Hospital following an illness. Carol was born Jan. 11, 1954 in Dunkirk and was a daughter of Donald and Norma Shearman Lucas. On Nov. 25, 1983, in Dunkirk she married her husband of 26 years, Robert W. Weatherell, who predeceased her on May 11, 2010. Carol graduated from High School in Indiana. She worked at TOPS. Carol became a member of the housekeeping departments starting at Ladies of the Home, Moving to Holiday Inn Express in Salamanca and then the Microtel in Allegany. She enjoyed music, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Carol is survived by three children, Angela M. (Jeremy) App of Allegany, Jenni L. (Kyle) Foskit of Hinsdale, and Don McCann of Fort Wayne, IN; three grandchildren; four sisters, Sharon (The Rev. Vern) Seekings of Dunkirk, Judy (Jim) Pugh of Harland, IN, Darlene Lucas of Indiana, and Norma Fryback of Indiana; and many nieces & nephews. Along with her loving husband, Carol was predeceased by two sisters, Kathy & Peggy Lucas. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State St., Olean, New York 14760 on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Vern F. Seekings, her brother-in-law, will officiate. Burial will be at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. Online condolences may be made by clicking on the button above.
