Sister went on to teach students in the lower grades in Congregational schools located throughout New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. During those years, Sister Margaret was a steady and gentle presence in the daily lives of her young charges. Toward the end of her active ministry in 1994, she accepted a position as Food Service manager at St. Mary of the Angels Convent in Haddonfield, New Jersey, serving until her retirement in 2002. In 2003, she was warmly welcomed home by her sisters at the St. Elizabeth Motherhouse. Sister Margaret is predeceased by her parents and five brothers: James, Francis, George, William and Joseph.
