Obituary of Louis A. Rohwer

Louis A. Rohwer of 7664 Jersey Hollow Road, passed away Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at his home. Louis was born Jan. 23, 1939 in Buffalo and was a son of Albert and Lehn White Rohwer. On Jan. 24, 1958 in Little Valley he married his wife of 57 years, Alice J. Rarey, who survives. Louis worked for Art Benson Ford in Springville for 10 years until 1975. He then went to work for Behmer Transportation as a Auto Body Repairman, where he worked for over 20 years, retiring in 2001. Louis attended the East Otto Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, and riding motorcycle. Along with his loving wife, Louis is survived by three daughters, Kay L. (Ronald) Bridenbaker of Little Valley, Suzanne M. Silvis of Limestone, and Darla R. (Lance) Rubeck of Little Valley; six grandchildren, Ronnie, Rachel, John, Mandy, Jessica, and Monica; 13 great grandchildren; and one sister, Onita Jergy of Little Valley. Louis was predeceased by two brothers, Dennis and Gordon Rohwer. At Louis' request, there will be no Public Visitation. A Graveside Service will be held Friday Aug. 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Ellicottville. The Rev. Wess, Pastor of the East Otto Methodist Church will officiate.
