Kelvin R. Chapman of 410 West Baldwin Ave, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 shortly after arrival at Olean General Hospital following a short illness. Kelvin was born May 21, 1950 in Buffalo and was the son of Julius and Ophelia Chapman. He was formerly married to Ella Frailey. He grew up in Buffalo and attended Buffalo schools. He later received training to be a counselor. About 15 years ago Kelvin moved to Olean were he went to work at CARES in Weston Mills as a counselor. He really enjoyed being in the outdoors and cooking out doors. He will be remember as a very caring and giving man who had a true relationship with God. Along with his loving companion Amy L. Murphy of Olean, he is survived by three daughters, Nicole Jenkins of Buffalo, Andrea Chapman of Buffalo, and Dominique Crolle of Olean; four grandchildren, Delila, Ondrea, August & Fredrick; one sister, Barbara Johnson of Buffalo; and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents Kelvin is predeceased by one brother Joseph Chapman; and one sister Phyllis Bryant. A gathering will be held on Saturday March 14, 2015 at the Rock of Revelations Church 1009 Griffin St, Olean, NY 14760 from 11:00 am to 12 noon at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Wesley Gilbert, Pastor will officiate. Memorials may be made to the donors choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E.
