Lucy A. Bosworth formerly of 5515 Route 305, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
Lucy was born on Sept. 25, 1916 in Cuba and was daughter of the late Vance and Mildred Lowe Booth. On October 25, 1938 in Cuba she married her loving husband of 57 years Ronald S. Bosworth, who pre-deceased her on August 18, 1994.
Lucy was a graduate of Friendship Central High School. She served for over 20 years as the cook and manager of the Cuba Central School cafeteria. She was a member of the Cuba First Baptist Church, where she also enjoyed many hours of volunteer work and cherished her many friendships. Lucy loved being outdoors, walking her dog or working in her yard and garden.
Surviving Lucy are two sons, David (Sylvia) Bosworth of Cuba, and Donald (Carol) Bosworth of Gainesville, Fl.; two grandchildren, Aaron (Jennifer) Bosworth of Kirkland, WA, and Melissa Cummins of Mooresville, NC; four great grandchildren; as well as nephews and nieces.
In addition to her husband, Lucy was pre-deceased by a daughter, Annette Lindamer; a brother, Virgil Booth; and two sisters, Beatrice Brown and Charlotte Carrier.
There will be no public visitation. Burial will be in the Black Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #24 Genesee Pkwy. Cuba. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cuba First Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
