Charles J. Stoneham, Jr. of 3013 Madison Hill Road, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Fiddlers Green Manor, following a long illness. Mr. Stoneham was born April 29, 1927 in Wellsville, a son of Charles J. and Dorothy Bidwell Stoneham, Sr. He served in the US Army during WWII. After the war he was employed at Air Preheater Co. in Wellsville and later at Uniflow in Erie Pa. as a refrigeration mechanic. Mr. Stoneham enjoyed being outside hunting and fishing and was known for ramming the roads. Surviving Mr. Stoneham are three sons, David Stoneham of Scio, Gary Stoneham of Wellsville, and Brian Stoneham of Ransomville; three daughters, Virginia M. Cummings of Wellsville, Carol A. Stoneham of Friendship, and Barbara (Jerry) Strang of Milton, Fla.; and many grandchildren. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in Veterans Field of Honor in Mt. View Cemetery, Olean, N.Y. at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #24 Genesee Pkwy.
