Dawn M. Nudd of the Olean Pines Health and Rehab Center, formerly of 4061 South Nine Mile Road, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 in the Olean General Hospital sounded by her loving family.
Dawn was born on Nov. 20, 1951 in Olean and was a daughter of the late Horace G. and Emogene Tisdale Peck.
Dawn was a 1969 graduate of Allegany High School. She worked at various jobs including John Ash Cleaners and St. Elizabeth Motherhouse. For 8 years, Dawn also drove escort for oversize truck loads for a number of different companies including LC Whitford in Wellsville. She retired due to her illness. Dawn was a member of the Allegany American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving Dawn are two sons, Shane E. Nudd of Bradford, and Daniel J. Nudd of Allegany; a daughter, Laura A. (Kevin) Fox of Allegany; six grandchildren, Marion R. Judkins, Kristina M. Fox, PFC Robert J. Fox, Michelle A. Schuman, Shane E. Nudd, Jr. and Alexis R. Gross; six brothers, William "Bum" (Sue) Peck of Franklinville, Horance "Bucky" (Ellen) Peck of Allegany, Jack (Melva) Peck of Allegany, Richard (Linda Eaton) Peck of Allegany, Forest "Jin" (Judy) Peck of Olean, and Michael (Mary) Peck of Allegany; four sisters, Barbara Beil of Fillmore, Gloria (Carl) Foster of Allegany, Carol (Richard) Chew of Allegany, and Michael (William) Steinbronner of Little Valley; and many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and cousins.
Dawn was pre-deceased by a brother, David Peck in 1952; and three sisters, Candy Peck in 1950, Judy Jordan & Fern Fahy, both in 2002.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean tonight Sat., April 9, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 12 noon to 1:00 pm at which time funeral and committal service will be held. The Rev. Ricki Price will officiate. Burial will be in the Allegany Cemetery, Allegany.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
