Jack R. Worth of 679 Garden Ave. Olean, NY died Friday March 28, 2008 in E.C.M.C. in Buffalo from injuries sustained in fall at home. Mr. Worth was born Dec. 19, 1939 in Olean and was a son of Herbert and Virginia V. Stuart Worth. He married his wife Ann Marie Moses, of 48 years, on Oct. 3, 1959 in St. Joseph Church, she survives. Mr. Worth was a graduate of Olean High School "Class of 1957". He served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Worth worked at Dresser-Rand for 44 years. He retired in 2003 as a Lead Draftsman and Engineer. Mr. Worth was a member of St. Joseph Maronite Church. He was also a member of the Olean Barbershoppers for several years where he served as a past president, the Eagles Club, the American Legion, the St. Stephens Club and in the 1970's he was a member of the Olean Concerned Citizens. Mr. Worth was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and he enjoyed music, gardening, carpentry, drawing, and cooking. But most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and especially his grandsons. Surviving Mr. Worth besides his wife are two sons, John R. (Lynn) Worth, Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Jeffrey R. (Kim) Worth of Atlanta, GA.; a daughter, Jackie (John A.) Reed of Olean; seven grandsons, Paul Reed, Daniel Worth, Michael Worth, Nicholas Reed, Lucas Worth, Joseph Reed and Samuel Worth; a dear sister-in-law Donna Worth (Tom) Blessing; four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; several aunts and uncles, many cousins; and many, many nieces and nephews. Mr. Worth was pre-deceased by a daughter Annette Marie Worth and a brother William B. Worth. Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 beginning with a prayer services in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Maronite Church. The Rev. Joseph G. Akiki, Pastor will celebrate. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, N.Y. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Maronite Church 255 North 4th Street, Olean, N.Y. 14760 or to the charity of the donor's choice. There will be an incense services in the funeral home Tuesday evening at 8:30 P.M.
