Obituary of Eugene G. Glover

Eugene G. Glover of 2556 Canal Ave., passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Olean General Hospital, following an illness. Eugene was born July 31, 1944 in Olean and was a son of Alvin S. and Leona E. Lippert Glover. On Feb. 6, 1986 in Olean, he married his wife of 29 years, Agnes M. Elias, who survives. Eugene was a 1962 graduate of Olean High School. He served in the Navy from July 17, 1962 to April 22, 1963. Eugene worked in the Security Department at St. Bonaventure University for about 10 years in the 1950's before becoming a disabled veteran. He enjoyed hunting & fishing and watching wrestling & western movies. Along with his loving wife, Eugene is survived by two children, Clara Mary Fraser of Allegany, and Eugene G. (Jackie) Glover of Olean; two step children, Barbara A. (Paul) Tarr of Olean, and Eric P. (Hope) Crawford of Ashburgh, NC; five grandchildren, Amber M. Glover of Olean, Jonathon (Cassidy) Glover of Olean, Sarah A. (Ira Hollebeke) Glover of Mt. Jewett, PA, Maverick Glover of Olean, and McKenzie Glover of Olean; three step grandchildren, Adam J. Marowski of Olean, and Jayson & Sarah Crawford of Ashburgh, NC; three sisters, Mary E. Wilcox of Bolivar, Ann M. (Richard) McIntyre of Little Genesee, and Michaelene J. Heil of Buffalo, Wyoming; a sister-in-law, Patricia Glover of Ohio; and several nieces & nephews. Eugene was predeceased by a brother, Alvin S. Glover, Jr. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State St., Olean on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. David E. Tourville, Associate Pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery, Olean.
