William "Willy" R. Jones of 4607 South Cooper Hill Rd, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at his home after a brief illness.
Willy was born on May 23, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan and was the son of William and Dorothy Ellen Struble Jones.
Willy worked at the Friendship Dairies for 40 years, retiring in 1994. He also did odd jobs for many people. He enjoyed being outside cutting wood, hunting or just walking.
Surviving Willy are companion, Ella Mae Gomez, with whom he lived; two sisters, Elizabeth G. Jones of Olean, and Mary E. (John) Leikam of Silver City, NM; and two nephews.
Willy was pre-deceased by his mother & father and a sister Dorothy C. Booth in 1992.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 9-10 AM with funeral to follow in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. The Rev. Terry L. Jenks will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Allegany Fire Department or to the American Heart Association.
