Michael R. Ingalls of 9363 Bradley Ave. passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Michael was born on June 15, 1967, in Cuba, NY and was the son of the late William Orin and Constance Elaine Smith Ingalls.
Mr. Ingalls was a 1985 graduate of Cuba High School and a 1987 graduate of SUNY Alfred with a major in building trade. Michael made his career in the building contractor business, holding numerous positions with general contractors as well as owning his own contract building business. Michael was well known for his superior work in the construction of homes and businesses in the state and surrounding areas.
Mr. Ingalls was an avid outdoorsman. With his beloved sons, they enjoyed many quality hours in sports activities such as football, hunting, NASCAR, gun collecting, camping and cutting firewood. Michael was a member of the NRA and the Sons of the American Legion.
Michael is survived by three sons, Justin, Joshua, and Jacob, and their mother Rebecca; one brother, Craig (Stephanie) Ingalls of Hartwell, GA; three sisters, Wanda (Jeffery) I. Klem of Ontario, NY, Barbara (David) Setchel of Hartwell, GA, and Linda (Michael) Biehl of Sanford, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Cuba First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 17 South Street, Cuba, N.Y. on Tuesday March 29, 2011, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at which time Funeral services will be held. The Rev. Larry A. Poelma, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, NY. There will be a gathering following the Funeral Service in the church reception area.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Trust Fund being established at M&T Bank, Cuba, for the Sons of Michael Royce Ingalls, or to the Kevin Guest House, 782 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, NY 14203.
