Frank Hicklin 92, of 9884 West Cuba Road died Sunday April 17, 2011 in the Cuba Memorial Hospital following an illness. Mr. Hicklin was born July 24, 1918 in Broad Township, PA, a son of George and Louiza Phipps Hicklin. He married first wife of 53 years, May I. Fauzey, who pre-deceased him. On March 11, 1999 he married Emma Jane Smith Miles who survives. Mr. Hicklin worked for Dresser-Rand for a number of years before his retirement in 1981. He loved working around old oil field engines and attending vintage engine shows, like at Coolsprings, PA and Alexandra, NY. He was an avid flea marketer when his health allowed. Besides his wife Mr. Hicklin is survived by one son, Frank D. Hicklin of Lockport; two daughters, Judy White of Elko, NA, and Lillian McCready of Olean; four stepsons, Marvin Miles of Cuba, Robert Miles of Rochester, Jim Miles of Olean, and Ray A. Miles of Buchannen, VA; one stepdaughter, Margaret E. Geyer of Hinsdale; and several grandchildren. He is predeaced by his parents and nine brothers & sisters. At his request the will not be any funeral services at the time. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
