Obituary of Daniel E. Austin

Daniel E. Austin of #9 Franklin Street, Apt. # 203, passed away at home on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011 from an apparent heart attack. Dan was born on March 31, 1951 in Olean and was a son of Edmund E. and Rachel Palmer Austin. He served in the U.S. Army. Following his service, he began buying and selling antiques, which he continued to do though out his life. He also worked at Cooper Power Systems for about 3 years in the 1990's. Dan loved his family and Church. He enjoyed going to church, camping & fishing, playing his guitar and cooking. Surviving Dan are his mother, Rachel A. White of Olean; three brothers, Stephan E. (Deborah) Austin of Weston Mills, Richard E. (Lynn) Austin of Olean, and Timothy Austin of Falconer; a sister, Susan A. (Richard) Reisner of Allegany; and several nieces & nephews. Dan was pre-deceased by his father, Edmund E. Austin on Nov. 24, 1987; and a sister, Patricia E. Reed on July 1, 2006. Friends will be received in the United Pentecostal Church, on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Steven W. Beattie, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery, Olean. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the United Pentecostal Church 1100 Homer Street, Olean, New York 14760.
