Karen M. Troutman, of 1193 Steam Valley Road, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 at the Buffalo General Hospital, following an illness.
Karen was born June 7, 1954 in Olean and was a daughter of Raymond and Emma Puff Brockel. On July 15, 1972 at the Hillside Wesleyan Church in Olean, she married her husband of 44 years, David W. Troutman, who survives.
Karen was a graduate of Olean High School in 1972. She worked at Olean Creative Mailing, JoAnn Fabric and then Seasons Book Store, retiring in 2015 after about 8 years. Karen enjoyed crafting, sewing, and gardening. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Along with her loving husband, Karen is survived by two daughters, Tara (Timothy) Zak of Olean, and Brooke (Ty) Stowell of Oppenheim; two granddaughters, Kate Warner & Leizel Pierce; one brother, William (Kathy) James of Hinsdale; and several nieces & nephews.
Karen was predeceased by her parents; three brothers, Ernest, Jerry, and Raymond James; and three sisters, Cindy Williams, Shirley Richardson, and Dorothy Bartlett.
Family and friends are invited to a joyous celebration of life, beginning at 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 217 North 14th Street, Olean.
