Obituary of Christine L. Stimson

Christine L. Stimson of 2576 Button Road passed away shortly after arrival and the Olean General Hospital following an apparent heart attack. Mrs. Stimson was born on April 2, 1925 in Luebben, Germany and was a daughter of Rudolph and Gertrude Mudrick Scheade. She married her husband, Charles R. Stimson, on Sept. 13, 1948 in BadRichenal Germany, who survives. Mrs. Stimson worked at a number of places including Kings Green House and The Big N. She was an avid gardener and nature lover. Mrs. Stimson will be remembered as a good friend and was loved by all. She enjoyed having monthly lunches with her special German Ladies. Surviving Mrs. Stimson, besides her husband are two sons, Rick D. Stimson of Hinsdale and Steve R. (Mary Ann Sawaya) Stimson of Hinsdale; two daughters , Diana L. (Timothy M.) Scull of Olean and Evelyn M. (Donald E.) Johnson of LeRoy, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, Angela M. Greenaker, Kevin P. Smith, Amy M. Dendy, Sarah A. Kirchner, Justin R. Stimson, Sean (Sarah) Johnson, Kristin Johnson and Shannon (Arianna) Johnson; eight great grandchildren, Joshua W. Greenaker, Victoria M. Greenaker, McKayla A. Kirchner, Alexis M. Dendy, Claire Dendy, Hollie, Kylie and Allegra Johnson; and special pet, Marla. Mrs. Stimson was pre-deceased by a brother Robert Scheade. Friends will be received on Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 2-5 P.M. in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 11:00 in the funeral home. The Rev. Robert N. Hubbard, Pastor, of the Myrtle Gospel Tabernacle Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean, N.Y. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the SPCA Rt. 16, Olean, N.Y. 14760.
