Michael (Mike) Patrick Snyder, 61, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Mike was born December 17, 1954 in Olean, New York, to Herbert A. and Phyllis (Doane) Snyder Jr. He graduated from Olean High School in 1973 and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator in Germany from 1973 to 1977. Back in Olean, Mike was employed by Stroehmann Bakeries Inc. for 25 years and he married the love of his life, the late, Jennie L. Shaffer on June 9, 1981. An avid football fan, Mike played the sport he loved in high school and also while he was stationed in Germany with the military. He coached youth teams as well. He was a proud supporter of all Buffalo Sports and a motorcycle enthusiast. Mike is survived by his two children, Kimberly (Christian and granddaughter) Coffman of Texas and Nicholas (Brittnay) Snyder of Fairport, NY. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jennie in 2011; his parents, Herbert and Phyllis; and his brother, Stephen C. Snyder. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 26th at 11:00 AM at Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home; 646 E. State St., Olean. Memorial Donations may be made to the Fisher House Foundation (https://www.fisherhouse.org/) or Roswell Park Cancer Institute (https://www.roswellpark.org/), in lieu of flowers.
