Obituary of John B. Nicholson

John B. "JB" Nicholson, III, of The Pines Health & Rehabilitation Center in Olean, formerly of Mutton Hollow Rd. Great Valley, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Erie, following a lengthy illness. JB was born June 17, 1942 in Carlisle, PA and was the son of John Burton and Mildred Livesy Nicholson, Jr. He attended Kent State University. JB lived in a number of Places including, Warren, Revena, and Kent, OH. He worked for over 30 years as a Drug & Alcohol addiction counselor for the VA Medical Center in Brecksville, Ohio before retiring in about 2003. JB was an avid reader of many books and magazines. JB read anything and everything, including archeological & history. He enjoyed gardening and hand crafts. JB is survived by one son, Jon F. (Elizabeth) Nicholson of Great Valley, two daughters, Kate Fisk of Ogden, UT, and Angelia L. (Dan) Hughes of Fairbanks, AK; eight grandchildren, Kimmi, Sarah, Katie, Heather, Abbey, Bethany, Audrey, & Cameron; one great granddaughter; and several close friends, including a very dear friend, Natalie L. Siclari of Olean. At JB's request there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Memorials may be made to the Pines Activities Department at The Pines Health & Rehab, 2245 West Sate Street, Olean, NY 14760.
