Obituary of Dorothy E. Middaugh

Dorothy E. Middaugh of 5633 County Route 31A, passed away on Dec. 25, 2016 shortly after arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville following an illness. Dorothy was born on June 26, 1941 in Angelica and was a daughter of William and Frances Illerbrun Brown. Dorothy worked at ACME in Cuba for 32 years. She was formerly a member of the Saddle Dusters Club. Dorothy was very active in the Amity Rescue Squad and would cook for different events and help with bingo. She enjoyed flower gardening, baking, cooking, quilting, sewing, and horse pulls. Dorothy loved watching WWE Wrestling. She loved watching her grandchildren ride horses, spending time with them, and she truly loved her family very much. Dorothy is survived by one sister, Nancy L. (John) Harrington of Angelica; and two grandchildren, Timothy P. (Aly Randell) Doherty, Jr. of Scio, and Emily C. (Andy Cline) Doherty of Belmont. Dorothy was predeceased by two daughters, Dawn M. Doherty on April 4, 2014 and Verna L. Middaugh on Feb. 26, 2012; two infant brothers, Roger V. and Jayson P. Middaugh; and twin brothers, Albert & Adelbert Denning. Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #24 Genesee Pkwy. Cuba, on Thursday Dec. 29, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 and also on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at which time funeral service will be held. The Rev. Dennis J.J. Mancuso will officiate. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Belmont, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Amity Rescue Squad, 5184 Route 244 Belmont NY 14813 or to the American Cancer Society, #197 Summer St. Buffalo, NY 14222 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
