Margaret L. Ayette, 101, formerly of 106 East Green and Aspen Manor Olean, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008 in Hampton Manor West Nursing Home, Ocala Fl. Mrs. Ayette was born on April 2, 1907 in Curriers, NY and was a daughter of George and Emma Snyder Rudolph. On Sept. 2, 1937 she married her Husband Raymond C. Ayette who pre-deceased her on Dec. 27, 1988. Mrs. Ayette worked for a period of time at Bradner's Dept. Store. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and their Women's Society, Past President of the Mizpah Class, the Merry Maids Service Club, Past President of the Electa Chapter 84 Order of the Eastern Star and was a past member of the Olean General Hospital Auxiliary, where she was also a volunteer at the Gift Shop at the hospital. Surviving Mrs. Ayette are a daughter, Betty Thorpe of Wellsville; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and 15 Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Ayette was pre-deceased by a brother, Harold Rudolph. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. The Rev. Dr. William A. Allan, Co-Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church or to the Olean General Hospital Auxiliary.
